Why we exist
Too many traders treat MACD as a green-or-red switch. Networking Intelligently grew from evening chart circles in Sydney where the same questions kept returning: when is a crossover late, when is the histogram lying, and how do you sit with divergence without forcing a trade?
We teach signal reading as a craft — slower than alert apps, more accountable than forum screenshots.
Origin
The practice began as informal Thursday reviews near Circular Quay, then moved into a proper teaching room on Kent Street once demand outgrew café tables. The name reflects how we work: network of traders, intelligent reading of momentum — not a software product.
How we work
Sessions stay small. Charts come from markets attendees actually follow: ASX names, AUD crosses, and the occasional commodity future. We mark bars together, argue gently about context, and leave with notes rather than slogans. No proprietary “system” is for sale; you keep using the charting package you already trust.
People
Ellis Ward — Training lead
Ellis has spent fifteen years reading momentum indicators for his own discretionary trading and for peer study groups across NSW. He designs the intensive curriculum and leads most open clinics. He does not manage client money.
Amrita Sen — Coach
Amrita runs private coaching and assists on day-two live reviews. Her background is in market education for retail traders in Melbourne and Sydney, with a focus on multi-timeframe divergence.
